In case you’ve been wondering where I’ve been lately, its right here in this greenhouse. This or another of the 5 here at the tomato farm. My typical day consists of waking up around 6:20, breakfast at 6:30 and work begins at 7. I’ll start by picking a few boxes of lettuce and packaging them for a restaurant or the market. ‘Ficka’ or the mid-morning break takes place at 9:30 where everyone on the farm stops to have toast and coffe.

Happy Birthday to Mom today and to Heidi last week! This is us just about two years ago somewhere near Big Bear, California. Besides the fire alarms at 3 am in the condo and Heidi’s morning sickness we had a great time. It was such a beautiful place and nice to get almost the whole family together. Two years later and we’ve got an even bigger family to celebrate. I can’t wait to see you all again. Happy Birthday!
stockholm

we took a ferry from tallinn to stockholm where we stayed for a long weekend before heading to the farm. stockholm was a really great city. its really clean, open, vegetarian-friendly and not nearly as cloaked in furs as st. petersburg. it was pretty expensive. 8 bucks for a crappy beer on tap and 10 for broccoli soup meant that we only went out once and spent the rest of our time cooking at the hostel or just walking around town.
